HIPAA & Patient Data Compliance
Commitment to protecting clinical files and skin consultation uploads.
Protected Health Information (PHI)
When you upload skin photos, list dermatological diagnoses, or share personal medical histories during our AI Skin Quiz or formulation consultations, this data is classified as Protected Health Information (PHI).
Essential Derma strictly adheres to HIPAA security and privacy standards to safeguard your health records.
Security Safeguards
Encryption: All uploaded images and diagnostic inputs are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 standard encryption.
Access Control: Only certified aesthetic advisors and formulation desk agents under strict confidentiality bounds are authorized to access PHI databases.
Data Retention
We do not store skin diagnostic photos on our public storefront servers. Once a consultation routine is generated and delivered, diagnostic images are purged from temporary caches within 30 days unless persistent storage is explicitly authorized.
