Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to clinical layering, shipping queries, and product safety guidelines.
How should I structure my skincare layering?
As a rule of thumb, apply water-soluble serums first, followed by heavier creams, and lock everything in with an oil or sunscreen. Always allow 30-60 seconds of absorption time between layers.
Are Essential Derma products safe during pregnancy?
Most of our hydrating and barrier-support products (like the Niacinamide Serum and Ceramide Creams) are completely safe. However, we advise consulting your OB-GYN before using active retinoids or high-strength salicylic acid formulas during pregnancy or lactation.
Why do you list pH levels on your packaging?
Skincare products must respect the skin's acid mantle (which sits around pH 5.5). Actives formulated at incorrect pH levels will either degrade or cause severe barrier irritation. Listing exact pH levels ensures transparency and compatibility validation.
How long does it take to see results?
Skin cell turnover takes approximately 28 days. Hydration and barrier repair results are visible within 7-10 days, while hyperpigmentation and fine-line corrections typically require 4-8 weeks of consistent compliance.
